Malaysian Furniture & Furnishings Fair 2010 is organized by The Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Furniture Entrepreneur Association (KLSFEA), the fair was held from July, 22 to 25 at KLCC Convention Centre from 10.30am to 9pm. free admission for all public.
Richard Ko, President of The Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Furniture Entrepreneur Association (KLSFEA) cum Organizing Chairman of Malaysian Furniture & Furnishings Fair 2010 said, This is the 3rd Malaysian Furniture & Furnishings Fair since started from year 2008. This is annual event have develop the habit of many consumers to participating to shop for their furniture and furnishing items. He said, the fair had reached total turnover of approximately RM50 million last year and gained more than 60,000 visitors.
Malaysian Furniture & Furnishing Fair displays a complete selection of furniture and home related products. It cover wide range of products like mattress, bed, dining sets, sofa, kitchen cabinets, hall cabinets, wallpapers, curtains, flooring, home appliances, ceramic, landscaping, lighting…everything needed for a house. Thus MF3 is a very convenience one stop shopping destination for home furnishing.
He said, MF3 was trying to bring together all local leading exhibitors in this field on a cost-effective platform and giving them access to prospective buyers. Till today total of 160 booths, had been fully taken, witnessed the outstanding result and get encouraged to join again this year. Notably, more exhibitors are asking for bigger space to showcase their products and better presentation.
The exhibitor profile of the fair consists of 75% in furniture manufactures and the rest of 25% in electrical appliances, interior decoration, furnishing etc.”
It is a best time for everybody, including house owners, dealers, manufacturer, ID student, designers, advertisers, interior decorator, consultants, companies to exchange information and establish networking and contact.
Malaysian Furniture & Furnishings Fair (MF3) will launch on April 3, 11am at KLCC meeting room 403. Minister of Tourism, Dato’ Sri Dr. Ng Yen Yen is the Guest of Honour for the launching ceremony.
Despite severe competition from countries like China, Vietnam and Indonesia, Malaysia has been able to demonstrate growth in furniture export every year.  I encourage our manufacturers to fully support the Government’s growth efforts through the New Economic Model which corresponds with the discipline, motivation, focus and flexibility of entrepreneurialism.
These values can enhance and value-add to the country's furniture industry sustainability and raised competitiveness against other export nations. Through exposures from events like the Furniture & Furnishing Fair, our exporters can gain the exposure and courage to explore into new global markets and extending public private partnerships alliance.
